About our program

Cajun Girl Kennels is an in home breeding program 

  Our focus is AKC/UKC Standard Poodles. All of our puppies come from health tested parents and are raised using the Badass Breeder Program which includes early neurological stimulation, early scent stimulation, and a puppy curriculum to ensure that our puppies are well rounded and properly socialized.  We believe the way puppies are raised can make or break them which is why we strive to set them up for success! Whether you are looking for a companion to snuggle on the couch with or you're looking for a fury friend to compete  in dog sports our puppies have you covered.

Meet The Breeder

Hi! I'm Amanda, the breeder behind Cajun Girl Kennels. A little background on me, I was born and raised in a small town in South Louisiana. One where only the locals know how to pronounce it.  Ever since I was little I've loved animals, especially dogs! Growing up, my family and I raised a few litters of Cocker Spaniels and Catahoula Leopard dogs. From the moment that first puppy hit the ground I was hooked!

Fast forward many years later and I bought my first dog, an apple head Chihuahua (Peanut) with the intentions of starting my own program. Unfortunately we discovered that he wasn't an eligible breeding candidate and the dog breeding dream got put on the back burner while I raised my family.

When I decided to pick it back up I came across the sweetest little brown fur ball of a Poodle (Remy) and that was it for me! I had to have these magnificent creatures in my life.
